today we made coins.First we add to create a drawing on plaster and after to put the clay on it so that the clay takes the forms and shapes of the first model. I made a beautiful rabbit but the plaster broke because it is really fragile.
This method is used to create stamps or signatures and many other purposes.
Today was a tough session. Basically, we had to make a vase with several layers and at the same time trying to make a profile shape. Frankly, It was not a success because it requires a lot of abilities! I finally ended up doing a vase with fox face.
Today, we made a sculpture of an animal with which you have some affinity. I chose a cat. I like their independence and their kindness. So, I brought along a cat's sculpture that my mum had offered me in January and I remade it.
Today's lesson was pretty fun and interesting. We had to make a sculpture interfering two objects with each others. We also had to play with the scale as the artist Claes Oldenburg does. To be honest, I really like this artist. I like the fact that he makes us react to the scale and helps us experience daily things with another glance. After a small time of reflection, I got the idea of doing a mouse with a key squeezing it. I will call it : ' The discovery' . Claes Oldenburg The spoon bridge
My creation : a mouse with a key ( fifth time the real scale)
